ABOUT THE VENUE

  • DO YOU OFFER A MARQUEE OR TIPI?

    • Yes, we can offer recommendations for both hire of a marquee and tipi at additional cost. Just let us know your requirements.
       

  • ARE THERE SEPARATE ROOMS PROVIDED FOR THE WEDDING, RECEPTIONS, MEAL AND EVENING EVENT?

    • The wedding reception and entertainment take place within the same space - The Field Kitchen cafe. We advise guests to enjoy the courtyard and parkland before the meal for the wedding reception and also after the meal to allow staff to turnaround the space ready for evening guests and your party!
       

  • IS THERE A ROOM FOR THE USE OF BRIDE AND GROOM FOR THE DAY?

    • Unfortunately we do not have specific rooms for this, however the bride and groom are welcome to use one of our meeting rooms for additional storage of belongings or for little ones to get some rest.
       

  • WHAT TIME CAN WE ACCESS THE SPACE TO DECORATE WITH FLOWERS OR TABLE DISPLAYS?

    • Access is available from 9am on the day of the wedding. However you may drop off items the day before and our staff can set up all table decorations for you. If you require bunting, etc. then this may be set up the afternoon before (from 4.30pm) if the venue is not in use. If you require 2-3 hours the day before after 5pm then this is an additional charge of £250. Subject to availability.
       

  • DO YOU REQUIRE DJ/BAND TO SET UP THEIR EQUIPMENT BEFOREHAND?

    • If the meal is being held in the event space prior to the reception, we usually ask DJs/bands to set up beforehand. However, set-up time will vary depending on the entertainment.
       

  • IS THERE SOMEWHERE TO USE AS A CRECHE?

    • We do have some rooms at Glove Factory Studios that could be used for this purpose during the reception and evening entertainment. This would of course require adult supervision at all times.
       

  • IS THERE A QUIET AREA FOR GUESTS WHO MAY WISH TO SKIP THE ENTERTAINMENT?

    • During warm summer and autumn evenings our courtyard, terraces and lakeside walks offer a perfect place for this. Weather permitting of course. If you have included hire of a marquee then again this can be used as a ‘quiet lounge’.
       

  • CAN WE SAFELY STORE WEDDING GIFTS OVERNIGHT ON SITE? WOULD YOUR INSURANCE COVER ANY LOSS/THEFT?

    • No, we are not insured for loss or damage to wedding gifts or personal items left at the venues. We request that all gifts are taken away at the end of the night.
       

  • CAN WE HAVE FIREPITS?

    • Yes we can supply these for you at a cost of £50 for the small and and £100 for the large including wood.

 
 

 

ABOUT THE CATERING

 
  • DO YOU PROVIDE ALL THE CATERING?

    • Yes, we supply all the catering and the bar.
       

  • CAN WE SEE SOME SAMPLE MENUS AND PRICES?

    • Yes, we have all sorts of menu options available. Have a look at our menu page or get in touch to find out more. Our event space lends itself to sharing style options and al fresco dining. This creates a very relaxed and special experience for all guests.
       

  • CAN WE BRING IN EXTERNAL CATERERS?

    • No, we are exclusive caterers. Once you're wedding here is confirmed, we'll create a bespoke wedding menu for you and a private tasting.

  • CAN YOU HELP WITH A CAKE STAND & KNIFE?

    • Of course! 
       

  • DO YOU REQUIRE US TO FOLLOW A PARTICULAR ORDER OF SERVICE?

    • Definitely not. This is entirely up to you - it's your big day. We are very flexible and will adapt to your needs.
       

  • DO YOU HAVE AN ALCOHOL LICENCE? IF SO, UNTIL WHAT TIME?

    • Our hire fee covers service until 11 pm, although we can extend this to midnight at an extra charge of £250. Any entertainment will also need to finish at the same time.
       

  • WHAT TIME DOES THE RECEPTION NEED TO FINISH?

    • We allow an extra half hour after the bar closes for guests to finish drinks and depart. 
       

  • DO YOU SUPPLY ALL THE WINE AND CHAMPAGNE?

    • Yes, all drinks must be purchased from The Field Kitchen.
       

  • CAN YOU RECOMMEND A WEDDING CAKE SUPPLIER?

    • We have several suppliers that our wedding couples have used in the past, with great success. We can also provide contacts for florists, wedding cars and other suppliers.

 


 

ABOUT EVERYTHING ELSE

  • IS YOUR VENUE EASY TO FIND?

    • Yes, we are located between Melksham and Bradford on Avon off the B3107. Just 25 minutes from the M4 junction 17
       

  • ARE YOU LICENSED FOR CIVIL CEREMONIES

    • Unfortunately not, though we can recommend nearby venues and locations that hold civil ceremonies.

  • WILL OURS BE THE ONLY WEDDING THAT DAY?

    • Definitely. Your wedding day will be all about you.

  • HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE

    • We can accommodate a smaller group of around 30 - 80 guests within The Field Kitchen dining area, or a larger wedding reception for up to 150 making use of our parkland in a tipi or marquee.

  • CAN WE THROW CONFETTI?

    • Yes, providing it is biodegradable confetti and is thrown away from the enclosed courtyard area.
       

  • CAN WE LIGHT CANDLES IN THE RECEPTION ROOM?

    • Yes, that's no problem.
       

  • HOW LOUD CAN THE ENTERTAINMENT BE?

    • As we have residential neighbours, we ask that all entertainers and DJs stay within regulation noise limits. We monitor sound throughout the evening and after 9pm we close all windows and doors to keep sound from travelling. It hasn’t affected the party so far.
       

  • DO YOU OFFER ANY OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATION?

    • No, we do not offer accommodation. However we can provide a list of local recommended hotels in the area.
       

  •  DO YOU ALLOW FIREWORK DISPLAYS?

    • No, unfortunately we are restricted due to residents living nearby and livestock in fields around.
